Tuesday Workshop Multi Level Argentine Tango Class

Hosted by Christie Moody

7:00pm - 8:30pm

Open to all who wish to study Argentine Tango!!! THE FIRST CLASS WILL BE FREE! Following classes will be $10. These multi level classes will begin on Tuesday, January 9th from 7-8:30 pm.

In keeping with our mission to bring traditional Argentine Tango to Athens, Athens Tango Connection has invited Manuel Patino to come to Athens to teach a 4 class series and possibly continue teaching here.

Manuel Patino grew up listening to tango music in his home in Ecuador. He started dancing tango 25 years ago and has been a teacher for nearly as many years. He and Ronda Patino established Tango Rio to teach, perform and promote the Argentine tango. Manuel loves the tango, both the music and the dance. His preference is the milonguero style of dance: the genuine and traditional way to dance in the milongas. He will teach you the magic of tango: the embrace, the musicality and the skill to dance in a crowded floor.

We have a beautiful wooden floor in a private home located at 298 Crestwood Dr. to host the class. NOTE: If you are using a mapping app, get directions for Crestwood Dr. without the house number. Sometimes people have been sent to the wrong subdivision.

We also hope to schedule a milonga in Athens in the next few months to try out our skills and bring some dancers to our community.

Call Christie at 706-338-1859 for more information and to pre register.
